Saturday Sanctuary in the Marketplace
Saturday, 4 February from 10.30am-2.30pm
Paddington Uniting Church
Theme: Wonder and Imagination
British author G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936) was a writer who lived large — both figuratively and literally — and who was wildly in love with life.
He said, “The world will never lack for wonders, only wonder.” Those few words are vital for the cultivation of a great imagination. It is always puzzling to hear someone say, “I’m bored.” Boredom is a choice one makes, not a condition imposed. With so much happening in politics, culture, technology and science (just to name a few arenas), anyone who wants to think creatively is living in the richest, most dense environment they could hope for.
Want to expand your ability to wonder, and enlarge your imagination in the process?
Try the 6 step way to enlarge your imagination with wonder at Sanctuary.
Sanctuary is a space for relaxation, reflection, meditation and contemplation at the heart of the Paddington Markets. It is not a church service. You are invited to spend some “ME” time in the space and join in the various activities if you so wish.
Sanctuary takes place on the 1st Saturday of each month and is composed and hosted by members of Paddington Uniting Church.
