An Exhibition Venue
The dramatic interior of the Church has been host to a changing exhibition of works by well-known artists. In addition to the inside of the Church the front foyer of the Church is a unique small exhibition space.
The church owns a number of artworks that inspire, challenge and invite reflection on faith and the human condition.
The church artworks reflect our commitment to engaging with creativity. They aim to inspire but also to provoke, with some artworks described by visitors as ‘not what they expect to see in a church’ (or even ‘inappropriate’). This opening for dialogue about the nature of the sacred and profane and the meanings and expectations we attach to church buildings are fundamentally missional opportunities to explore with people from other churches or no faith background what it means to be ‘the people of God’.
