We are seeking a community developer who will work as a guide, enabler, technical assistant and liaison/advocate to a small community of people with long-term mental health conditions. You would have excellent skills in oral and written communication, good organisational skills and an unswerving dedication to seeing small communities grow and people flourishing regardless of their mental health disabilities.
Past work as an allied mental health professional (occupational therapist, nurse, social worker, community worker, youth worker) would be beneficial. The role will involve 3.5 hours of group activity plus 3.5 hours of administrative duties (that can be taken on the same or alternate day). The role will be part of a six month pilot program to identify the longer-term activities and resources required to support the local community of people with mental health conditions.
